How is the DT-9881M model different to the DT-9883M model?

The DT-9881M is able to detect Carbon monoxide levels (CO) in the air, where the DT-9883M  cannot. However, the DT-9883M model is able to detect Carbon Dioxide (CO²) levels as well as formaldehyde (HCHO) levels in the air, where the DT-9881M cannot.  Both are able to count the particles in the air as well as give a reading for mass concentration levels.
