The affected area or room can be dried efficiently and effectively, mitigating the chance for mould growth. The moisture meter is included so that you can check the progress of drying and when it has reached satisfactory levels.

How do these air movers and dehumidifiers work?

The Small Water Damage Restoration Combo package is all you need to carry out effective drying. The Ventus Air Movers help produce air movement near and within the affected area which encourages evaporation. When dry air comes into contact with moisture, the dry air absorbs some of that moisture.  This is especially effective when combined with a the Mini Midas 45L dehumidifier. This unit intakes air, and runs it through freezing coils, bringing the air down to dew point, where the moisture turns into liquid and is collected by a tank and pushed out through a hose. This hose should lead to a disposal point like a shower, toilet or drain. The air is pushed through a heating element of the dehumidifier and comes  out heated.  This dry air, having been heated, has an increased capacity to hold moisture and is eventually picked up by the zephyr air movers, to be directed to affected areas and for the process to repeat. This whole process is designed to bring the ambient moisture levels down and to drag hard to reach moisture out into the open, to be evaporated.

All you need for an effective drying solution! How do I use them?

To effectively use this package, it is best used in an enclosed space, such as a bedroom though this may not be entirely needed. A large living room or kitchen is also suitable.  For optimal drying, ensure you set up the air movers to create a circuit of air flow in the affected area, with the dehumidifier nearby. Think of the airflow as taking a lap around the room. This will ensure that the dry air that the dehumidifier releases can be caught in the air flow circuit created from the air movers and thus targeting all affected areas.   If it is one contained spot, a dehumidifier and an axial fan will suffice.  Additionally, when setting up the circuit of air flow, this air should be directed towards wet spots simultaneously.   Leave this to run and check on the process every 24 hours. You may not have been able to target every area all at once, so shifting the gear during these check in periods is recommended.
